Paige: I thought the slides were aesthetically appealing to the eye based upon the colors of the University. Also, the inclusion of the fact they also have a student magazine and podcast along with the newspaper. The pro’s and con’s list was something I wish I thought of myself.
Emily: I loved the depth you went into describing each article and how you provided multiple examples for each news “topic” you chose to look into. The editing skills for your video were great. Lastly, I really enjoyed the aspect of creative writing within the paper and how it connects students.
Bridget: Your presentation was smooth and clean, it felt like something that grabbed my peers and my own attention. The variety of articles you showed for context of the newspaper and depth you went into explaining was great.
Duffy: I really like how you started with what kinds of articles drew you in the most and how it skewed what you looked at. The special issues category sparked immense interest for me as a writer. Lastly, the personal connection you drew with one of your friends who writes for the UMass paper added emphasis to the quality of your presentation.
