Translation of the above outcome is the expectations that students will be able to speak publicly in a professional and effective manner. Additionaly, being able to do so in collaborative setting with decision making and project planning. To highligt my success in achieving the LO, I have seleced the final video project form CMM-211: Introduction to Journalism.
I believe this project fits the above expectations for both its spoken word elements and efforts in collaboration. Although a video format may not be the normal method of public speaking, the recording was played for a public audience. What matters more, in my opinion, is the demonstration of how I was able to moderate a collaborative conversation in an effective manner (with the idea of it being shown publicly in mind). In the behind the scenes of the project, it took a great deal of decision making regarding what topics would be discussed and how the video would be made. Additionally, a script was required alongside the video which my groupmates and I had to each contribute to. Based on the quality of the final product, I suggest I have achieved all three bulleted points for the anticipated LO.
