Overall, I felt that this project went very well in terms of what the prompt required and our final work. With my background in Journalism, I found this to be one of the easiest assignments over the course of this semester for Pro-tech. My group also (with their background in writing) were able to bring a lot of skills to the table. I found our draft to be okay for peer review, but needed some changes afterwards. We had our formatting a bit off with larger paragraphs and more of an essay-style look to it. Another big change for us was to make sure our tense stayed consistent and steered away from the “our” or “we” phrases. Strong parts of our draft included the flow of the paragraphs. It included a great background of what the app was that then moved into the promotional elements. After making the changes noted in peer-review, our overall product only got that much better. I could see this news release being published in UNE’s newspaper, The Bolt, or on the UNE website under the newsletter section. It could also venture into local papers such as Saco Bay or Portland Press Herald.
