Dear XXX:
Subject: Application for Camp Counselor at Camp Seaside
This letter features my interest in working with children and my abilities regarding what it requires and means to be a camp counselor. I saw this ad posting in our local newspaper, and with my experience, immediately applied.
Working with children has been something that has always come natural to me due to being in a family of many teachers. This included me visiting classrooms from a young age, reading to children and participating in many crafts or games.
I have worked for Braintree Parks and Recreations for 3 years, receiving child CPR certifications and training, along with being a counselor at multiple camp locations. With this position, there has been several scenarios where I have planned and lead activities for children ages 5-13. My experience has allowed me to create interpersonal relationships with children, grounded in positivity and developing their social world.
Along with this, parents of my campers were able to connect with me on how their child progressed throughout camp. This required a motivated and attentive personality catered to each child and their experience. I believe my ability to lead and enthusiastic personality would be a crucial addition to the team at Camp Seaside.
I can be reached at the email address listed below my signature. My resume is attached to this document as well for further information. I will be available for an interview at your discretion, and look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Mya Hankes
