Framing Statement:
As an English major, this courses design helps immensely in being able to understand and interpret literature. One specific learning outcome to this course that exemplifies this projects purpose is “demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of literature in English with special attention to theory and criticism as a field” (Frank 2022). This project asks us to do just this. We had to use texts that we either discussed in this course or other English courses through theory. We also had to demonstrate our understanding of theory and criticism over all in this project. These two factors of the project combined fulfills one, if not more, of the outcomes expected in this course. Without this project, the expectation would be left to fill in other areas such as our applications and classroom discussions.
