First article: https://vtcynic.com/news/uvm-works-towards-updated-curriculum/
This was about curricular changes being made across UVMs campus. From an outsiders view, it seems to me that they are completely restructuring the way academics are taught. It was first presented with the issue that UVMs required courses did not meet the standards by their accreditor. The Catamount Core, is said to prepare students for the real world once graduating. This curriculum seems to be very similar to the way we learn here are UNE. Content wise, the story is full of information and interviews. This made the story much more impactful for me as a reader because I could trust the content.
Second article: https://vtcynic.com/topstories/behind-the-scenes-of-the-bsu-fashion-show/
This was about a recent fashion show that happened at UVM put on by the Black Student Union. This was an extremely lively show to display the diversity and fashion African American culture has brought. It was a soft news piece filled with information, quotes, and details. I loved that there were images. I as a reader felt that I could understand and paint a picture of the event on my head. The writer did a beautiful job in description and formatting to achieve this for the audience.
